Danielle Lloyd was born in Penny Lane, Liverpool on 16 December 1983. Her parents, Jackie and Arthur Lloyd are a bank manager and an engineer, respectively. At the age of 3 months, Lloyd contracted whooping cough, resulting in damage to her lungs. This led to her developing asthma. She attended St Hilda..s CoE High School for Girls. Lloyd was a keen on sports as a child, and competed nationally for the Sports Acrobatics Liverpool Team at the Centre of Excellence. Lloyd is also a keen supporter of Liverpool FC, and has modeled for them on numerous occasions. At age 16 Lloyd began modelling, frequently entering competitions in and around Liverpool. Upon finishing school, she decided to pursue a dual career in modelling; and trained as a beautician specialising in massage, and is also a qualified nail technician. Lloyd was crowned Miss England on 17 July 2004 and competed at Miss World 2004. On 26 February 2006, Lloyd was named Miss Great Britain 2006 On November 2, 2006, she was stripped of her title “following recent claims in the press and magazines and the publicity given on the Playboy Web site for their next issue”, according to the Miss Great Britain website. The claim they were referring to was that Lloyd had been dating Teddy Sheringham, who was one of the judges of the pageant, for more than two months before her victory. This was reported by the media after she allegedly said in an interview that Sheringham bought her a pair of shoes for Christmas. Lloyd continues to claim that the relationship started after the pageant, and that the interview was made up. She attributes her topless shoot for the December 2006 issue of Playboy as the primary reason for the loss of her title. On 11 January 2007 it was revealed that Lloyd was being sued by the Miss Great Britain company for breaking her contract and bringing the company into disrepute. The company is asking for full revelation of the sums she earned for the Playboy pictures, plus costs. She has since been cleared of any wrongdoing. Lloyd was also the winner of “UK Best Breasts” 2006, and was a finalist in Miss Maxim 2006. Danielle has made various promotional appearances. On 13 April, Lloyd flew over to Dublin with Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas to open a nightclub in the suburb of Rathfarnham. She has recently appeared on numerous covers of The Daily Star newspaper (initially at a rate of at least three to four times a week) after signing an exclusive deal with the publication, on the cover of Maxim magazine and as a guest-star on ITV2’s WAGs Boutique. Lloyd has signed a publishing deal to write a book documenting her experiences in the Celebrity Big Brother house, will release a fitness DVD in the Summer, has become the new face of both Ladbrokes Poker and Television X and will shortly make her film debut with a role in a new independent British film The be all and end all. Lloyd also has plans to take her career to the U.S.A, and to spend time with her American friends, such as Paris Hilton. In the meanwhile, she attended Shilpa Shetty’s movie premiere at Leicester Square. The movie, Life In A… Metro was the first Bollywood movie Lloyd has seen. The two hugged and kissed on the red carpet in front of fans The appearance was alleged to have been little more than a damage-limitation exercise by Lloyd; Jade Goody was also scheduled to attend the premiere, but her invite was pulled at the last minute. Danielle Lloyd helped open a mobile phone safety campaign after her own mobile was stolen in a Liverpool club. The Keep It Safe & Secure campaign, backed by the National Mobile Phone Crime Unit encourages mobile users to take greater safety precautions when using their phone. As well, she participated in a glamour models special of The Weakest Link, and won £9,300 for charity. Danielle also has a fitness DVD released entitled “Keep Fit, Look Fit”. Danielle’s catchphrase is “I’m only 23″. Danielle announced on 2nd May that she would be appearing on Celebrity Gladiators for Sky One. ….
